Bulldog Bulletin January 19 to 23, 2026

Principal’s Message: At a recent Area C administrator meeting, it was shared that our school is #2 in our area with 79% of our students attending school consistently. We know that missing just 2 days per month in elementary school adds up to a full year missed by grade 9, and students are missing opportunities for hands-on tasks, group collaboration, and social-emotional learning. Thank you for prioritizing education by reaching out to us when your child(ren) need help getting to school, letting us know when they will be absent, and arranging changes in arrival/pick-up with the classroom teachers ahead of time. Your support is appreciated!

Coming Up

  • Jan. 30th: PA Day No School
  • Feb. 2nd: Grade 8 Photos
  • Feb. 2nd: School Council Meeting 5:30 pm

Please note

  • Supervision on the yard begins at 8:55 am. For your children’s safety please do not drop off your children before this time.

Safe Arrival system for SCDSB schools –email [email protected] or call 1-888-885-8065 or to report an absence (we recommend using the email system). Parents/guardians are responsible to report a child’s absence/arriving late prior to the start of the school day. Do not wait for the call from the school. Please note: the safe arrival number and email are to be used only to notify the school if your child will be late or absent. It is not for notification of changes in pick up, busing, etc.

On days when buses are cancelled due to inclement weather, the Safe Arrival program continues. For parents/guardians of students who ride the bus on these days, if you receive a call and believe that your child should be in attendance, you are asked to please call the school. Otherwise, the school will assume that you are aware of your child's absence

Families of students who walk to school should call the school if their children are not attending on inclement weather days. If you receive a call and believe that your child should be in attendance, you are asked to please call the school. Otherwise, the school will assume that you are aware of your child's absence.
